BIOGRAPHY

In the autumn of 2020, I began my photography business in Stockholm, combining my love for capturing beautiful interiors with my passion for interior design. Through my work, I get to explore stunning interiors and hear the unique stories behind each home. Moving from the Netherlands to Stockholm in the spring of that same year was an adventure created by my partner’s job, but at the same time, it fulfilled my own dream of living in this wonderful city.

PHOTOGRAPHY

After studying photography in Rotterdam, I started orienting myself in the most appropriate specialisation. With a number of detours, among others in the field of journalism, I found my passion in interior photography. From that moment on, photography and interior go hand in hand.

When moving to a new country one of my biggest challenges was to get to know the Swedish photo style. For the past years I have been working hard to create a style that I want to be known for, that has the natural look and the warm touch that I found important.

INTERIOR

There has always been this interest in interiors and the stories behind them. My graduation project at the school for photography was a series of photos from the interiors of different stores together with a portrait of the store owner. It was my curiosity that wanted to see if you could guess which interior belonged to which portrait.

With time my interior style has changed after seeing all these different apartments and houses, getting to know different cultures, reading design books and getting inspired by lots of magazines. With the interest I have, I try within each job to help and advise by seeing what works for an interior on photos.

To better support my clients, I knew I had to develop my knowledge of interior styling. I followed a course in home staging to be able to substantiate my ideas and give further advice rather than purely acting in line with my gut feeling. The two professions are becoming more and more intertwined in my work, and I hope that the future brings me many beautiful projects in which photography and interior come together.

RESUMÉ

PUBLISHED

Excited to share my work featured in RIJD’s latest lookbook. Seeing my photos in print is truly special, and collaborating with such a passionate team has been incredibly inspiring.

RIJD was founded by Susanne Lundberg and Caroline Ruth, who bring a wealth of design experience. Their style is international and creative, full of prints and inspirations from their travels. Interestingly, they name all their products after men they’ve met, whether in bars, through relationships or someone who inspired them.
