Sometimes, it’s the interior that captures your heart, and in this case, it was also the person living there. She had been in the home for years, with each corner holding a memory. I saw photos from when they built an extra wall to create enough space for her kids. It was a family home.

As she shared her story, she proudly showed me her collection of beautiful lamps. Her weakness, she said. Usually, when I tour a property, the focus is on the layout, the light, or the location. But this time, it was all about the interior pieces and their designers. I surprised her when I recognised a lamp in the dining room, a Crème Atelier table lamp, printed in 3D by a Swedish brand based in Stockholm. Just two weeks earlier, friends from the Netherlands had bought the same one when they were a weekend with us, so it was fresh in my mind.

This photoshoot reminded me of why I love what I do, helping people through the power of photography. Better photos lead to better sales, and that can help open the door to a new chapter in life. This seller was especially grateful, not just for the photos, but for the conversations we shared. Hearing her story was a reminder to savour every day and every moment.
