Regeringsgatan 80 – Ekenstam

You can’t see it in these photos, but this is actually two separate apartments. Between the living room with the white and blue fireplace and the one with the green sofa, a wall has been partly taken down. There were loose electrical cables and a part of the floor was missing where the wall used to be. As a photographer, you have the power to decide what to show and what to hide. Other than the usual editing, nothing has been changed in these photos.

This was one of my first jobs after switching agencies, and it felt a bit overwhelming. It was special because it combined two apartments into one and felt quite fancy compared to the properties I had photographed before. I remember feeling so proud to finally work with dream apartments like this, that I bought myself a present that same day. A pretty expensive bedspread that had been on my wishlist for a long time.
