Summer weekend in Stockholm

One of my favourite walks is towards Djurgården, often with a stop at Svenskt Tenn along the way. I just enjoy being outside and taking everything in. I always find inspiration in colours, buildings, nature and small details. I stopped for a fika at Rosendals Trädgård, which is one of my favourite places. A really lovely atmosphere and definitely a spot I recommend if you’re in Stockholm.

Walking into Svenskt Tenn is always a pleasure for me. It’s one of my favourite stores in Stockholm. The mix of bold patterns, warm wood, flowers and art really inspires me. It reminds me that a home becomes special when it reflects you, not just trends.

The room divider is a piece of art by itself. I love the design and how it adds something special to the room. And the details in the chair’s woodwork are so beautiful. Then there’s the table with the glass top. I honestly think this is such a nice idea, you could even try it yourself. It could be a special object, a sculpture, or even a souvenir under the glass. I’ve seen similar setups with books or magazines, but this felt different. Very simple, but such a great idea. Again, almost like a little artwork in the room.

Fika at Rosendals Trädgård is always a good idea. Sitting in the garden or greenhouse, surrounded by plants and flowers. They often use ingredients from their own gardens. I had apple juice made from apples grown there, which felt extra special. There’s always a big selection of sweets, and I can never choose just one.

I also like the small shop at Rosendals Trädgård. It’s full of plants, pots and simple things for the home. These little glass vases really stayed with me. Since then, I’ve been adding more small vases at home. I love putting one flower or just a few stems in each, it’s an easy way to bring something fresh into a room.

We continued to Skansen and walked around the park. We actually had a yearly pass for a few years, so it’s a place I’ve been many times. They often have really nice events there. I especially love Allsång, when different artists perform and the whole audience sings along. It’s even broadcast on Swedish TV and is a big tradition here. In the shop, I came across these cushions made from recycled fabrics. They made me so happy. I took photos because I’d love to try making something like this myself one day.

The next day, another highlight was an exhibition at Skokloster Castle with costumes from Bridgerton. The fabrics, embroidery and tiny details were incredible. I’m not the biggest series-watcher, but this is one I really enjoyed. Every new season, I end up watching it all in one weekend.
