During Easter (2022) we went to Göteborg for the weekend and discovered this interior store. It turned out to be pretty well known already, just not to me. It's a little bit hidden on a really nice square in the city full of restaurants with terraces. Only therefore I would already recommend a citytrip to Göteborg. Before we went I tried to find some nice spots online that were worth visiting and ended up at Artilleriet. They have two stores close to each other, one is focused on interior and design and the smaller store around the corner is all about the kitchen and it's accessories and tableware.

The store is decorated with different living rooms and you get inspired over and over with every step you take. All of these settings include a different type of style, but overall they still go very well together. Downstairs, where you come in you also find some accessories that are possible to take home directly. Which makes a nice combination together with all the furniture. When I was at Artilleriet, they had a wall full of glass candle holders in all kind of colors. A lot of them where lit which looked so cosy that I almost wanted to buy all of them at once. In the end I only brought one of them back home and I already regret my modest purchase. Next time when I get the chance to visit the store again, I will buy many more of them.

Their collection goes further than furniture and design, it's also the place to be for a kitchen. The kitchens are built through traditional craftsmanship which has been formed by generations of knowledge and refinement. With their designs they aim for a lifetime quality by only using the best materials. You will not find metal boxes, plastic or wood fiber boards, but within all compartments they have chosen to work with solid wood. As written on their website they think that houses are built to last for generations and they say that kitchens should match that.

In case you are as happy as I was when I found out this store, it's nice to know that most of the photos in this article are actually taken in their store. Hopefully it gives a bit of an impression how big it is and what to expect if you will visit it one day. In the mean time I would definitely recommend to follow them on Instagram where they often show new items in their collection. Artilleriet also has a webshop that ships to a lot of countries in Europe, but they charge extra fees.

Personally I really like their mix in styles and colors. A lot of items are classics from well known (Scandinavian) designers, but they created their own interior style together with vintage products and lesser-known designers.  Artilleriet also has a small collection with their own design with for example candles and sofas.
