The amount of flowers I buy has changed enormously since I live in Stockholm. Back in the Netherlands, where I am originally from, I would easily buy a fresh bouquet every other week. I had my favorite place to go to on the Saturday market in my hometown and I knew that it was very reasonably priced by the end of the day. Beside that, you would be able to enjoy them for a week or two. Nowadays I hear a lot of people around me saying things as 'buying a bouquet for the weekend'. When it comes to flowers, Sweden is a whole other world.
I am a big fan of vases in all shapes and sizes. To be honest, most of mine are stored in the Netherlands since they were too big and too many. So very occasionally we get flowers from guests or work and I only have one vase that kind of works. It's actually too low, so even the most beautiful bouquet of flowers look a bit silly in there. Time to find the perfect vase. Hereby my top five result with basic vases that will always works.

NUMBER ONE
Ostrea Rock vase from Hein Studio
If this brand is new to you, I would recommend to check it out directly. Although I think this one is perfect for flowers, I have all of their vases on my wishlist.

NUMBER TWO

Procella vase from Olsson & Jensen
During one of my strolls in the center of Stockholm, I found this one in a window display of a nice interior store. It directly went on my wishlist.

NUMBER THREE
Trixibelle vase from Byon
A bit different from the first two, but definitely a nice one is this vase from the Swedish brand Byon. This brand recently crossed my path and I think they have really nice items for reasonable prices.

NUMBER FOUR
Collect vase SC38 from &Tradition
This is the winner when it comes to the variety of sizes. The biggest vase is 60 cm high and I have no doubt that the flowers I have at my dining table right now, will fit much better in this vase than the one I'm using.

NUMBER FIVE
Squeeze vase from Orrefors
To finish this list with I want to share this very elegant vase with you. Personally I don't even think it needs flowers to shine.
