Most of the time when I am checking my Instagram all I see are beautiful interiors, fashionably dressed influencers or some holiday photos from friends. This time I came across the Instagram page of the Swedish artist Frida Clerhage who just did an amazing project. She made an illustration for a ceiling, just at someone's private house. Personally, I would have never thought of doing it at home. Of course, I know this kind of painting from museums and palaces, but as far as I can remember I've never seen it this way. And I thought it was absolutely gorgeous.

The building and its beautiful pillars are helping too, it seems to be a lovely house. I wouldn't dare to do this at my own apartment which only has two rooms, but I definitely can see this in an attached room to the living room or kitchen. Like in the photos with a lot of windows and daylight. To create a separate space for a big table or a corner with an armchair for reading.

Frida has done more inspiring projects that you all can follow on her Instagram. She creates everything from illustrations to patterns and murals. Her work always has one thing in common, it's inspired by the environments, flora and fauna. Frida lives with her family in Göteborg.

For me, it absolutely is an idea to keep in mind and you can always create a ceiling with an illustration that might fit more with your own style. Whatever your preferences in design and colours are, it will be a unique eye-catcher to your interior. I've you already have such a (unusual) ceiling at home, I would to receive a photo that I can add to this post for more inspiration.
