Sometimes you accidentally find a new brand and it turns out that you totally fell in love with it. To me that happened with the work of textile designer Cathy Nordström. Once I passed by her store and checked out the brand further online. Although I am very much into natural colours myself, I also have a weakness for beautiful patterns.

The designs are all made by Cathy who produces her products locally in Sweden. With her expertise as an artist and a textile lover, she creates cushions, wallpaper, lampshades and has her fabrics for sale. The collection is designed to complete your home and to be able to mix and match the products. I really like the way she combines colourful designs with older furniture. Following Cathy on Instagram, you already feel her love for second-hand interior pieces.

Cathy did a collaboration together with Salig Studio. Which is a Stockholm-based brand that designs beautiful lamps. I already have added one to my wishlist. They only have table lamps and the base is always the same, it can only vary in colour and the lampshades are available in different prints. The prints that are designed by Cathy are stunning. You can see an example in the photo above the text. The lamp on the cabinet is one of the designs.

This wallpaper is also coming from her collection and one day I really want to add wallpaper to my interior. When we bought the apartment we had everything painted, but with the right pattern, I think wallpaper also adds a lot.

This photo comes from her old store at Karlavägen. In the autumn of this year, she is moving to a new location in Östermalm. You can soon find her on Grevgatan 61 in Stockholm. She will open any day soon and I can't wait to see how she has made the place her own. It's next to another of my favourite interior stores, Familjen Fogelmarck

Because of her move to a new location, she had a sale organized at the store. We came half an hour early since I kind of expected a queue and I am happy we did. I think there were about ten people in front of us and by the time she opened the doors there were easily another forty people waiting behind us.
The evening before she gave an impression of the items she had for sale via Instagram and I really liked a bench of which she only had two. I told my boyfriend to find the bench and in the meantime, I made a quick look around. Without joking there was literally someone hanging over him to grab the other bench before it was sold out. It was insane, I think in only a few minutes everything got sold and it was really not cheaply priced. But well, I have the bench and bought one of her cushions.
On the pricetag, it said the bench comes from the 1800s and the fabric is from Cathy her collection. For already a long time I was looking for something against the wall by the kitchen in my apartment. It felt a bit empty and I wanted either a pedestal or a bench. Here is already an impression of how it looks. I am super happy with it and the details of the upholstery are beautifully done.
